Despite the near freezing tempatures, snow showers and windy conditions nearly 20 volunteers showed up for the trail workday at Walnut Woods - Stockdale Park in Liberty. This group was able to bench cut a large portion of the trail that volunteers had cleared corridor for on previous workdays.
The goal is to have a 2-3 mile loop open by late spring before the greening vegetation makes trail building too difficult. This trail will be a first for Liberty and should give local mountain bicyclist and hikers a "home trail".
If you would like to learn more about these trails you can contact visit the Blog for details and volunteer opportunities.
