It is an exciting time as our region continues growth of a trail system that will connect the people, parks and points of interest in the Northland.  The Northland Trails Vision Plan, a joint effort of Clay and Platte Counties, is the blueprint for such a system. As a member of Northland Trail & Greenways (NTG) you are joining with like-minded people to help make that vision a reality.  Your membership dues and contributions are important and appreciated, as they are the funds that allow us to open lines of communication between our members and the community at large.  These funds are also used to purchase materials used by volunteers to construct and improve trails.  As our membership and funds grow, Northland Trails & Greenways will continue to be a leader in promoting construction of trails throughout the area.  As a member of NTG, you can play an active role in providing direction and impetus to trail development. Another contribution we ask you to consider is time.  As the process moves forward, more "things” will need doing.  Whether as a member of a committee or just "on call" for a particular task, your time is as valuable to the organization as your dues.  Let us know how you would like to contribute. As an organization committed to green spaces and a healthy environment, Northland Trails & Greenways is attempting to do much of our communicating by electronic means.  This will limit our use of paper; we want to see more trees planted not cut to make paper.  It has the additional benefit of allowing funds, once necessary for postage, to be used for promoting and building trails.  If you do not have access to e-mail, or simply prefer traditional communications, let us know and we will make every effort to see you receive timely communications.  For those online members, we are attempting to keep our web site fresh and up to date.  Check us out at www.northlandtrails.org to find maps of the Smithville Lake Horse and Hiking Trail, the Smithville Lake Mountain Biking Trail, and updates on new trails and trail improvements.   Direct questions to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  Thank you for supporting Northland Trails & Greenways. Sincerely,
